In London, Ontario, Canada, a 36 year old women and her 33 year old friend have both been charged with abandoning a child under 10-years-old, for leaving the 36 year old women's child and a dog (which is why this story is being reported here) in an unattended car.

See, this is why I wrote the heat tips post earlier this week.  Come on people, Do Not leave your children or your beasties unattended in a hot car. Nothing is that important that you have to leave your children or your beasties locked in your hot car.

Both the child and the beatstie are fine, the child was examined at the scene by paramedics and it was determined the child required no further medical attention.

The mother and her friend did eventually return to the car. I hope this mother loses both her child and her beastie.

Police are not releasing the names of the mother or the friend to protect the identity of the child involved.
